Yesterday while riding in the 8th ave bike lane (the skinny part in midtown), this s**thead on my right decided to turn left - right into me! He gave no warning, used no turn signal and it was nice and sunny (plenty of light). There's no reason this could have happened other than that the driver was NOT PAYING ATTENTION. Dumbass. I'm fine and my bike's not badly damaged. Luckily we were both moving pretty slowly. But seriously, nyc needs to stripe more buffered bike lanes so cyclists have somewhere to swerve when people cut them off!
